Rachelle Hansen, PhD, LP
Dr. Hansen received her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology at the University of North Dakota. There, she was actively involved in several rural health initiatives helping integrate in-home mental health services along with outpatient health and behavior services.
She completed both her doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota where she specialized in pediatric psychology, psychological and neuropsychological evaluations. Her work included providing evaluations, behavioral interventions, and therapy to children, adolescents, parents, and families who are coping with medical conditions and developmental disorders.
Dr. Hansen has worked with children to adults at four different hospital systems, five rural health clinics, an inpatient and residential center, three private practices, a school-based therapy program, a community mental health clinic, and a neurology practice.
Because of her unique background in biochemistry, education, and psychology, she envisioned a clinic that would house all three. One where patients can get the whole-person support they need under one roof with a more personalized approach than a larger healthcare setting could offer.
She does this work because she simply wants to help people feel and live better. She's proud to be a part of an environment where she (and the rest of the incredible team) can do just that.
Stephanie Peters, PsyD, LP
Dr. Stephanie Peters earned her Doctor of Psychology degree from the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium. She completed her predoctoral internship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine. In those roles, Stephanie gained specialized training in treating children and families impacted by acute and chronic medical conditions.
After completing her clinical training, Stephanie completed an additional postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford's Clinical Excellence Research Center, where she studied health care's most pressing challenges. There, she designed health care delivery models capable of improving patient health, enhancing patient experience, while also reducing per capita cost of care. She is enthusiastic about the opportunity to continue developing innovative health programs at Stepping Stone Clinic to best serve Stepping Stone patients and our community at large.
In treatment, Stephanie often helps children adjust to and cope with all aspects of medical illnesses including: medical anxiety, adherence to medical regimens, school re-integration, and health-related behaviors. She is experienced in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to successfully treat children coping with emotional disorders, such as anxiety and depression. Stephanie frequently consults with other members of the health care team to ensure that the patient’s health goals are optimized.
